ELLIOTT PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS

Building capacity for small businesses and community-based organizations

Elliott Professional Solutions, LLC
(EPS) is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, and specializes in start-ups of non-profit programs and capacity-building.  Our consultants can assist you with writing your proposal — or we can help you develop and evaluate your program.  Whether you are starting a new business or adding programs to an existing one, Elliott Professional Solutions can help make your vision a reality.  Our consultants specialize in developing prevention programs that target medically under-served populations affected by HIV, substance misuse, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. We can help you design effective programs that address social determinants (i.e. poverty, stigma, mental health) from the seed of an idea to a successful application. Whether you’re an Executive Director, small business owner, established physician, or just beginning an entrepreneurial journey, we bring extensive experience and professionalism to every case and customize our support to your individual needs and concerns.

How Can Elliott Help You?

  • EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Elliott Professional Solutions, LLC specializes in education and training for small and large groups. Popular topics include: Health Navigation; HIV/AIDS "101"; Effective Behavioral Interventions for HIV and Substance Misuse; Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT); Facilitation Skills for Sexual Health Education; and Social Determinants of Health.

  • MENTORING, LIFE SKILLS, AND RE-ENTRY PROGRAMS

Do you have a passion for working with Youth, incarcerated individuals, or those who have been recently released from prison or jail? Our lead counselor is experienced with developing case management, family strengthening, and re-entry programs through past partnerships with Alabama Department of Corrections, The Office of Women’s Health, and Alabama Department of Public Health.

  • SUBSTANCE MISUSE

Substance misuse, especially opioid addiction, is a growing epidemic in the U.S. New federal funding supports prevention and treatment, from intensive outpatient programs to medically managed opioid therapy. A major gap exists in placement assessment using ASAM’s tool. Our licensed experts can administer this tool, write prevention or treatment proposals, and help establish and evaluate SBIRT programs.

  • INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND PROGRAM EVALUATION

Integrating behavioral health into primary care improves outcomes and lowers costs. Treating co-occurring conditions, like anxiety in hypertensive patients, can prevent complications. We help practices assess readiness, train staff, implement programs, and enhance patient care. Our expert services also include program monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) for new and existing programs.

Our Awesome Team

I am Dr. LaTeisha Elliott, founder and lead consultant. I have 22 years of experience in healthcare, including grant-writing, program development, and program management.  I earned a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Professional Doctorate (DBH) in Behavioral Health. I am licensed and certified in Counseling (LPC, CRC, NCC) and have served as Principal Investigator for many federal grants funding prevention efforts for HIV, Hepatitis C, Substance Abuse prevention and linkage to care. Following 12 years of health care program management experience, my husband and I opened Elliott Professional Services, LLC to assist medical and behavioral healthcare providers with navigating the changing healthcare landscape that was initiated by the Affordable Care Act. A year later, we started Alabama Partners for Health, Inc., a non-profit subsidiary, for the purpose of working with small non-profit organizations through community grants.

Our partners are Dr. Ritalinda Lee, PhD., MEL Specialist; Brittney Brooks, MA, CHES, Data Collection Specialist; and Ana Santos Diaz, MSW, Resource Specialist and Spanish Interpreter/Translator. Our board members are Dr. Adriel Johnson, Jr. of Adriel Johnson Counseling, Ms. Dana Jones, MPH of Alabama Department of Public Health, and Representative Laura Hall (D) of Alabama’s House District 19. This strategic partnering brings an exceptional level of expertise, dedication, and perspective that paves the way to your program’s success!
